ABOUT US

A story of transmission and identity

Maison Welly draws its roots from the Bushinengue heritage of French Guiana and Suriname, where identity, transmission and connection hold an essential place.

This heritage is expressed in particular through tembe art, recognisable by its geometric, interlaced forms. Carrying stories and symbols passed down through generations, it today inspires Maison Welly's Tembe Emblem, reinterpreted through the House's world.

From our roots to Maison Welly

Maison Welly was born from a conviction: women with textured hair deserve hair that blends into their own image, with a naturalness so evident it raises no questions.

For a long time, I searched for that feeling without ever truly finding it. Textures too smooth. Hairlines that felt unconvincing. Finishes that respected neither the volume nor the richness of coily, curly or textured hair.

I knew it was possible to go further.

That standard is what gave birth to Maison Welly.

Before offering a single creation, I compared several manufacturers, tested different hair qualities, and studied every texture and finish to keep only those that met the standards I had set for myself.

Today, every Welly is made from carefully selected Raw Hair, chosen for its quality, its natural look, and its ability to blend harmoniously with textured hair. Each creation then receives special attention, from crafting through to preparation before shipping.

Our Signature Hairline was designed to subtly recreate the look of a natural hairline and respect the identity of textured hair.

The Maison Welly vision
